Today, I stand before you with a heavy heart, filled with deep concern for the ongoing conflicts plaguing our Eritrean community, particularly in Israel. The strife between brothers and family members, fueled by the venomous whispers of dubious individuals on social media and the manipulative pronouncements of false religious figures, has festered for a year, leaving a trail of pain and division in its wake.
This situation, where peace and understanding have been replaced by hatred and violence, is a tragedy that demands our immediate attention. We, the Eritrean community, both within Israel and across the world, must unite and rise as one voice to call for an end to this senseless conflict. I implore the international refugee communities to stand with us, recognizing that this struggle transcends borders and affects us all.
Let us denounce this violence, let us reject the divisive rhetoric that has poisoned our hearts, and let us
reclaim the spirit of tolerance and compassion that defines our Eritrean heritage. Together, we can bring an end to this conflict and build a future where peace and understanding prevail.
